City trip in Rome (Part 1)

What a better way to start summer than a few days in Rome ?

Italy is a country you can only fell in love with : the art and culture, the people, the landscapes and most of all THE FOOD ! I went there once and I needed to go back so here we go for a little week in Rome between sisters.

First walk in the city

To visit Rome, take a comfortable pair of shoes and get your legs ready for a very long walk ! If you want to take the public transport it’s 1,50€ for 100 minutes, it’s not easy to find a location when you are in the bus or the tram because they never announce the names of the stops.

This city is a real open-air museum, every monuments, every streets are amazing and so pretty. Make a plan to visit the important monuments but try to get lost in the streets, everything is so beautiful !

We’ve booked a room in an apartment at 5min away from the Pantheon with AirBnb (perfect location). So we started our day with this monument in which you can enter for free. We walked in Via Del Corso to arrive Piazza Venezia and see the amazing Vittoriano, you can take the stairs of this building and walk up to have a wonderful view of Rome.

Then we crossed all the « foro » to arrive at the Colosseo. We didn’t go inside because of the long line we should have waited, so if you plan to go you will need time.

After that we went to Fontana Di Trevi put a coin and make a wish before going to the Piazza Del Popolo and have a walk in Villa Borghese which is the big park of the city with a zoo.

We took some pizza at « Antico Forno Roscioli », if you want to try a good italian pizza you must go there ! There are a lot of different tastes and you pay per kilos so you can have a tiny piece of each for not an expensive price at all.

At the end of the day and after all this tourists things we ate « the betest tiramisu of Rome », it’s a tiny shop call Two Sizes where you can buy different tastes of tiramisu (peanut better, pistacchio, caramel,…) you will pay 2,50€ for a small and 3,50€ for a large and there are way too good !!
