Vatican and Rome by night
You can’t go to Rome and miss the Vatican, it’s such an amazing place !
To visit the museum and the Sistine Chapel I advice you to book on the internet before (I did it 1 week before). With this ticket you skip the 3 hours line and you « avoid » all the guys who wants to sell you tickets way too expensive. You can book this on the official website of the Vatican.
You need almost 2 hours to visit everything on your own (without guide or audioguide). All the rooms are amazing and really beautiful !! You have to cover your arms and legs to enter into the Sistine Chapel (which is a part of the visit of the museum), what a magnificient place !
It’s free to enter into Saint Peter’s Basilica, so you can’t book before and you have to wait to go inside. We didn’t do it because we had to wait 3 hours under 36°C (too hard).
We went back to the Pantheon, the Fontana di Trevi and the Colosseo by night. If you have the time just do it ! It’s totally not the same by night (the Pantheon was my favourite)
We had a gelato at Alberto Pica, it’s an italian woman who adviced us to go there because it’s by far her favourite Gelateria. This place is not touristic at all, the price is the same as everywhere (2,50€ the small gelato with 2 tastes) and the gelato is amazing ! You have to try « rice and cinnamon ».
